What makes Storelli gear different from other brands?

Storelli is the only soccer brand built exclusively for protection and performance. While most brands focus on footwear, kits, or lifestyle apparel, our mission is simple: help players perform at their best — without fear of injury. Why do athletes, parents, and coaches choose our gear for serious protection? 1. Protection Is Not an Afterthought — It’s the Foundation Most soccer brands treat protection as a secondary feature — often limited to basic foam or thin padding. At Storelli, every product is engineered to address real performance-limiting issues: - Head impacts - Turf burns and abrasions - Impact injuries (hips, ribs, shins, etc.) - Muscle fatigue and overuse injuries - Grip and hand protection for goalkeepers 2. Lightweight, High-Performance Materials Protective gear should never feel heavy or bulky. Our design philosophy eliminates that worry. What makes our gear different: - BodyLock™ Compression: Keeps gear locked in place with zero slip or drag. - XRD® & Zorbium® Foams: Stay soft and flexible in motion, instantly firm on impact — absorbing up to 90% of force. - AirFlex™ & Coolcore® Fabrics: Maximize breathability and regulate body temperature for all-game comfort. - Elite Goalkeeper Latex: Our ClutchGrip™, ControlGrip™, EnduraGrip™, and BaseGrip™ options give goalkeepers pro-level performance tailored to every surface, budget, and level of play. Our goal: protection that disappears until you need it. 3. Technology That Most Brands Don’t Offer Yes, other brands sell “protective” gear — but the difference is in the technology and testing behind Storelli. - Independent Lab Results: Our Head Guard earned ★★★★★ safety ratings from Virginia Tech — one of the only soccer headgear options to do so. - Anti-Abrasion Fabrics: NoBurn™ and SABR-Tex™ fabrics prevent turf burn — something most mainstream brands don’t address. - Goalkeeper-Specific Engineering: From palm latex selection to ergonomic cuts, Storelli gloves are built for serious keepers who want pro-level control and durability. - Position-Specific Apparel: Field players and goalkeepers face different impacts — so our protection is tailored, not one-size-fits-all. 4. Used by Pros, Designed for Youth Safety Some players wonder: “If pros aren’t wearing this, why should I?” The reality: - Many professionals do wear Storelli — often purchasing it themselves, without sponsorships, because they trust its quality. - Youth and amateur players are at higher risk — with developing bodies and less recovery support, protection matters even more. That’s why parents, coaches, and medical professionals recommend Storelli — especially for youth athletes. 5. Trusted Across Sports, Not Just Soccer While Storelli is designed for soccer, our gear is also trusted by athletes in: - Football - Rugby - Field Hockey - Futsal - Other contact and high-impact sports The reason is consistent: athletes want serious protection without sacrificing speed or performance. Summary: Why Choose Storelli? Storelli gear is different because it’s designed with intention. We combine advanced protective materials, position-specific engineering, and elite goalkeeper glove technology to support athletes at all levels. Whether you’re a parent looking to protect your young player or an elite athlete managing risk on the field, Storelli helps you play confidently — and play longer. Still Have Questions? Can I use Storelli gear for sports other than soccer?

Storelli gear is engineered for soccer. But the protection works anywhere impact and abrasion are part of the game. Where Customers Use Storelli Our gear was designed for the pitch, and that's where it performs best. That said, athletes in other sports regularly use Storelli products for the same reasons goalkeepers do: impact absorption, turf-burn prevention, and body protection during high-intensity play. Sports where Storelli gear is commonly used: - Lacrosse. Players wear BodyShield undershirts and leggings for padding under uniforms. - Field hockey. Goalkeepers and field players use our GK leggings and sliders for dive and slide protection. - Basketball. Head guards are worn by players returning from concussions or looking for head protection on the hardwood. - Figure skating. Parents use our head guards for young skaters transitioning away from helmets. - Ice hockey. BodyShield leggings and sliders are used to supplement existing padding, especially for calf and thigh protection. - Rugby and flag football. Impact protection for training and games. What to Know - Our sizing, testing, and design are soccer-specific. The gear works across sports, but the fit and padding placement are optimized for soccer movements (diving, sliding, heading). - Head guards. The ExoShield Head Guard was tested by the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab and demonstrated an 84% reduction in risk of head injuries. That testing was conducted in a soccer context, but the protection is relevant any time your head is exposed to impact. - Compression fit still applies. Whether you're using the gear for soccer or another sport, it should fit snug. Check the size guide on each product page. Our Recommendation If you're considering Storelli for a non-soccer sport, think about what protection you need and where. Our product pages describe exactly which body zones each product covers and what type of protection it provides (impact, abrasion, or both). Not sure which product fits your sport? Reach out through the chat widget on our site. Tell us what sport you play and what protection you're after. We'll point you in the right direction.

Our Story

Soccer Safety + Performance Storelli was born in New York City in 2010, founded by an Italian soccer player, a PhD in biophysics, and an action sports designer. Different backgrounds, one obsession: build gear that lets players love every second of the game—fearlessly. We don’t chase trends. We chase solutions. From independent safety studies to the smallest design detail, everything we create is engineered to protect players and unlock performance. Innovation Without Compromise A common worry: protective gear is bulky, uncomfortable, or just a gimmick. That’s why we build ours differently. We attack overlooked pain points in soccer—head impacts, turf burn, fatigue—and reimagine gear from the ground up. Our foams, fabrics, and fits are tested relentlessly in Brooklyn and on fields worldwide to prove one thing: you don’t have to choose between safety and performance. Built to Last We refuse the throwaway model. Unlike brands that push seasonal colors or disposable updates, Storelli products are made to endure years of play. That’s good for players and better for the planet. Customers still write us about gear they’ve worn for 5+ years—proof that durability is our proudest achievement. We’d rather you buy less often and play longer than buy every season. Personal Support, Real People We’re not a faceless corporation. We’re players, parents, and coaches who live the game like you. When you reach out, you’ll get honest, expert support—often from someone who was just on the field themselves. The Bottom Line Storelli was built for one reason: to protect the passion of players everywhere. Our gear blends science, design, and soccer obsession into equipment that lasts, performs, and protects—so you can play fearless.
