How do I wash or care for my Storelli gear?

Take Care of Your Gear. It'll Take Care of You.

Proper care means longer life, full protection, game-ready gear all season.

General Gear Care (Apparel, Sliders, Leggings, Headgear)

Washing

  • Machine wash warm, mild detergent only.
  • No bleach. No softeners. No harsh chemicals. They break down padding and coatings.
  • Turn inside out first. Protects logos, cuts surface wear.
  • Padded gear (GK leggings, sliders, arm guards): use a mesh laundry bag.

Drying

  • Tumble dry low or air dry.
  • Skip high heat. Dryer, radiator, direct sun, all damage elastic and padding.
  • Pull it out promptly. Keeps compression intact.

Storage

  • Dry completely before storing. Every time.
  • Breathable bag, cool, dry place.
  • Away from dirty cleats and socks.
  • `Silica gel packs handle the moisture.

Usage

  • Training daily? Rotate gear to spread the wear.
  • Fit matters. Too tight strains stitching. Too loose cuts protection.
  • Rinse mud and sweat after play. Extends life.
  • Padding flat or elastic loose? Time to replace.

Goalkeeper Glove Care

Before First Use

  • Pre-wash in warm water, no soap. Air dry.
  • Or use GloveGlu Wash & Prepare for best results.
  • Strip the protective film off the latex before play.

Before Each Game

  • Dampen palms under warm water 2 hours before kickoff. Activates grip.
  • Keep palms moist, not soaked. Towel-wrapped in your bag until game time.

During the Game

  • Extra stickiness needed? GloveGlu spray on palms.

After Each Use

  • Rinse in warm water, as soon as you can.
  • Hand-wash only. No machine, no scrubbers, no harsh detergents.
  • Air dry naturally. Away from heat and direct sun.
  • Don't leave gloves in your bag. Latex dries out and cracks.

Storage

  • Cool, slightly moist environment.
  • Not too wet (mold), not too dry (brittle latex).
  • Palms apart. Pressed together, they stick and tear.

Durability Tip

  • Pushing off turf, use your fists, not open palms. Cuts latex abrasion.
  • Normal wear after first use is expected. That softness is what gives you grip.
